The watermelon that grows in dry conditions. The rice that grows under water. Salt. Peppercorn. Onion. Lemon. Strawberry. Broccoli. Celery. Plum. Rosemary. Chilli. Chocolate. Coffee. Tea. Garlic. Ginger. Sugar. Corn. Tomato. Flour. Water. Meat. Fish. Chicken. I could go on and on. All coincidence. Or the sustenance of a Lord God who provides. From a tiny seed, grows a produce of sweetness or bitterness. Through vines and stems from mere mud we harvest flavoursome food for our sustenance. As far as we are aware food does not grow on planets nearby. So why here on earth? The needs of man are met through miraculous means. A divine intervention. Do we not reflect the food we love to eat? The drink that sustains our bodies? Why does food taste so diverse? Nations and their cuisines. Is all this provision the act of a kind spiritual Lord. Or a relic made by man’s hands? Why do the non believers deny the love of a Higher Being. They eat and take and gorge and be merry. Without a thought for its Provider. The mother cooks but is not the creator of flavour or texture. Like honey and milk. One thick and sweet. One runny and creamy. God says He does not eat. Yet He understands how meat needs salt just as cake needs sugar. Its miraculous growth process in nature gives us reason to reflect the food we take for granted. Coincidence? Or Divine Sustenance from a loving God?
